Returners Ceremony
Greetings Camp Kupugani Family!
So far in the session, we have celebrated those new to our camp culture; today was a time to recognize all of our returning campers in a very special way! We presented second, third, fourth year campers as well as a seventh year camper with much appreciated Kupugani swag! The Returners Ceremony is a ritualistic induction to a place that has helped many of these girls learn valuable life lessons on conflict resolution, the importance of diversity and multiculturalism, team building, and also about their own strength and abilities to help others. These are the reasons girls come back year after year; they love the experiences they gain from camp as well as meeting girls from a variety of backgrounds. As fellow campers shared fond memories and stories about each of the returners being recognized, each heart was warmed by the shared acquaintance of Camp Kupugani.
Following the heartfelt ceremony for the returners, campers gathered into the Rec Hall for our fantastic Untalent Show with many talented campers and universal support for all performers whether “talented” or “un-talented”. The great support and fun continued with the dance!
