Introverted Parents Raising Extroverted Children
Camp Kupugani is our Midwest overnight summer camp (near Madison, WI, and Chicago, IL). We aim to give each camper and their families the tools to be successful. - Schedule Alone Time Every Day
- Find the time where you can be alone.
- Do something that makes you happy/feel relaxed.
- Have a Mandatory Quiet Time
- Decide a time when everyone (including yourself) must be quiet.
- Use this time to reflect.
- Get Childcare
- Use this time to do something for you.
- Find a parent with whom to swap.
- Consider a Career Shift
- Allow time to focus on you.
- Find something that allows shorter workdays.
- Have Intentional “Mommy (or Daddy) and Me” Time
- Interact with your children doing something they like.
- Connecting with your children helps them feel loved/understood.
- Cut Yourself Some Slack
- Being a parent (introverted parents or extroverted) is hard work.
- Don’t be so hard on yourself.
