Day Two of Blended Two!

Rise and Shine!

This morning, our campers kicked off their day bright and early. At 6 am, those who chose to do our Early Bird activity enjoyed a mindfulness session with Mason. 

As the sun climbed higher, the rest of the camp stirred to life. At 7:00 am, it was time for wake-up and cabin clean-up. Meanwhile, our dedicated trotters reported to the Dining Hall at 7:45 am to help set up breakfast. Afterward, we all gathered for our community meeting at 8:00 am. We introduced the morning song, “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With Me,” and shared our quote of the day. A delicious breakfast of pancakes and turkey sausages followed.

Team Building and Activities

After breakfast, campers engaged in camp chores and then dove into team-building exercises. These activities included six-minute interviews, “If you really knew me” sharing, and creating group agreements. Following that, we all enjoyed a lively all-camp game of gaga before lunch. The campers enjoyed sloppy joes, apples and chips for lunch.

The afternoon was packed with more exciting activities. We had our first group of horseback riders head out while others participated in swim evaluations and nurse checks. Later, campers enjoyed their first visit to La Tienda and learned about budgeting. The day wrapped up with bratwurst and veggies for dinner, announcements, and evening activities, including a “Handle Hard Well” video and Diversity Bingo.

Reflecting on a Great Day

As the sun set on our first full day of camp, we reflected on the memories made and connections forged. From early morning mindfulness to evening team-building games, every moment was an opportunity for growth and fun. As our campers settled into their cabins for the night, we couldn’t help but wonder: what exciting adventures await us tomorrow?
