A Saturday of Adventure and Growth at Blended Two
Hey there, camp parents! What a fantastic day we had at our summer camp today. The day was packed with activities that fostered self-image and relationships, our key focus for this module.
The morning kicked off with a powerful quote from Sonya Renee Taylor about radical self-love and then a hearty breakfast of Miss Natasha’s pancakes and turkey sausages. Afterward, the campers dove into team-building exercises, including affirmation circles and setting relationship goals. These activities helped them build stronger bonds with their peers. Then, they moved on to their morning camptivities. Some kids tried their hand at bracelet making in arts and crafts, while others enjoyed nature meditation, archery, or embarked on a challenge hike. Chili, grilled cheese, and blueberries were on the menu for lunch today. The afternoon was equally exciting, with a variety of activities like sand volleyball, pickleball, and even a film and photography session led by one of our counselors.
Soccer Game
The second camptivity brought about the all-camp soccer game. The campers exhibited amazing teamwork and sportsmanship, which helped them defeat the staff team in a dramatic shootout.
Evening Fun and Reflection
As the day wound down, we gathered for a campfire, which is always a highlight. The kids shared stories, sang songs, and reflected on their experiences. Following this, they set out on night hikes by cabin, exploring the beautiful surroundings under the starry sky. A movie under the stars was a perfect way to end a day filled with learning and adventure.
Another Great Day
Today was all about empowering our campers, helping them build a positive self-image, and fostering meaningful relationships. We’re excited to see how they’ll continue to grow and develop throughout their time here. As parents, you should be proud of how your children are embracing new experiences and challenges. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
