A Tuesday Celebrating Difference and Adventure at Blended Two
Hey there, camp parents! Today was another exciting day at our summer camp, filled with activities that celebrated difference and fostered teamwork. As the sun rose this morning, our early birds were already up and at ’em, jogging with Mason to kick-start their day. Then, it was time for the whole camp to rise and shine!
After a hearty breakfast of bagels, eggs, and fruit, we dove into our camp chores. But the real fun began with our team-building exercises. The campers shared their “5 Finger Bios” and played “This is My House,” which really brought them closer together. Afterward, they split into groups for their morning camptivities. Some kids tried their hand at arts and crafts, while others explored nature or practiced archery. The more adventurous bunch even went on a challenging hike! After morning activities the campers enjoyed chicken sandwiches for lunch.
Afternoon Adventures and Evening Excitement
The afternoon was jam-packed with even more camptivities. Campers got to choose between crate stacking, river walk, and lake play, among other options. Meanwhile, some lucky campers went horseback riding – always a favorite! As the day wound down, we gathered for a delicious dinner of Miss Natasha’s enchiladas and prepared for our evening activity: the Diversity Show and Tell. It was heartwarming to see the kids share items that represented their unique backgrounds and cultures. To wrap up the night, we played some 9-square before heading back to the cabins.
Another Day to Remember
Today’s theme, “Wear Your Diversity Day,” truly shone through in all our activities. The campers embraced the spirit of inclusion and celebrated their differences. As we tucked them in for the night, we couldn’t help but feel proud of how much they’ve grown in just three days. Tomorrow brings a new adventure with our Halloween-themed day. We can’t wait to see what costumes and surprises are in store! Speaking of which, have you started planning your child’s Halloween costume yet?
