A Fun Thursday in the Life of Blended Two
Hey there, camp parents! Today was another exciting day at our summer camp, and I’m thrilled to share the highlights with you. Our campers were busy from dawn till dusk, engaging in various activities that fostered growth, friendship, and fun.
Morning Shenanigans
The day kicked off bright and early with our nature walk enthusiasts joining Eva for the Early Bird activity. After that, it was time for everyone to rise and shine on day with the seniors running camp! The morning for most began with the senior-led morning circle, a delicious breakfast of coffee cake, eggs and fruit, cabin clean-up, and camp chores. However, the real excitement began with our Teams Building session. The focus was on conflict resolution, and the kids learned valuable skills through scenarios and line-ups. It was heartwarming to see them work together and grow.
Afternoon Adventures
After a hearty lunch of hot dogs and some downtime at Siesta, the afternoon was action-packed. Some lucky campers went horseback riding, while others enjoyed activities like challenge hikes, archery, and lake play. The creativity flowed in arts and crafts, where the kids made beautiful collages and bracelets. Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts had a blast with soccer, kickball, and basketball. It was amazing to see everyone so engaged and having fun!
Evening Excitement and Reflection
As the day wound down, we gathered for a tasty dinner of hamburgers followed by evening activities. The highlight was our second campfire of the session, where we explored “The Color of Friendship.” It was a touching moment that brought everyone closer together. Before lights out, the cabins engaged in reflection time and shared life stories. It was the perfect end to a day filled with learning, laughter, and new experiences.
Wrapping Up
Today’s adventures at camp were all about building relationships, resolving conflicts, and creating lasting memories. From the morning’s team-building exercises to the evening’s heartfelt campfire, our campers experienced growth in ways that will serve them well beyond their time here. As parents, you can be proud of how your children are thriving in this environment. So, we’re curious – what aspect of today’s activities do you think your child enjoyed the most?
