The Evolution of Our Kupugani Campers
Today’s Camptivities brought great fun with fishing, biking, canoeing, and a wonderful nature hike through the green belt of Kupugani. Our canoeists traveled far down the river than any campers before, almost making it to the second two-wire bridge! WAY TO GO BOYS! After a delectable meal of lasagna and orange pineapple strawberry cake for dessert, the boys enjoyed a fun game of RoShamBo Evolution! At the end of the game, all of the boys were chanting “Stop! In the Name of Love” with inspiring fortitude!
Following RoShamBo Evolution, campers went off to their second campfire of the session with the theme of “Deciding to Make a Difference… It’s Up to You!” At the campfire, Kevin told the Starfish Story–with the main idea that even the tiniest gesture can make a large difference, even if it is only made for one person. For that particular person, it may mean the world to them, while you also reap the emotional reward of helping someone in need! With our campers, we instill the empowerment and confidence within themselves; once they have gained those attributes, we encourage them to spread the commonwealth and knowledge to their brothers and sisters of the world! It may seem like a daunting task to help or change the world, but by thinking globally and acting locally, we can truly make a difference in the lives of one or more people…eventually the world will follow suit. So with that in mind, we ask you… how will you choose to start shaping our world?
