Kupu-Olympics at Blended Two!
What a fantastic day we had! The day kicked off bright and early at 7:00 am with cabin clean-up. After that, we gathered for our daily morning cirlce. The quote of the day, “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much” by Helen Keller, set an inspiring tone. Then, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast of bagels, eggs, and cereal. Following breakfast, campers diligently completed their camp chores before diving into exciting morning team activities. These activities included Lifts, Acid River, and an initiative rotation. It was amazing to see the kids working together and problem-solving as a team!
Afternoon Olympics and Evening Fun
After a delicious hamburger lunch, campers had some downtime during siesta. Then, the real excitement began with the Kupugani Olympics! The camp was buzzing with energy as the Red and Blue teams participated in various events including Gaga, the All-Camp Relay, the Giant Slip ānā Slide, Mud Tug of War, and Canoe Races (without paddles). In between, they had a chance to visit La Tienda. The afternoon was filled with friendly competition and lots of laughter. As evening approached, we held a special Returner Ceremony to celebrate our returning campers (who then went off to enjoy their special pizza party). Dinner for the 1st and 2nd years was a hit with tasty enchiladas, and campers took time to write thank you letters. The night concluded with Rainbow Tag and a lively Sing Off, filling the camp with music and joy.
Wrapping Up Another Great Day
Today was all about building community and having fun together at Kupugani. From the morning quote to the evening activities, our campers experienced the power of teamwork and friendship. As we look forward to tomorrow’s “Dress like a Staff Member” theme day, we can’t help but feel excited. The memories being made here are truly special. Parents, can you imagine the stories your children will have to share when they return home?
