Welcome Blended One Campers!
A Day in the Life: Your Child’s First Day at Camp Kupugani
Hey there, Camp Kupugani parents! We wanted to give you a peek into what your child’s first day at camp looked like as we welcomed our Blended One kiddos. It was a whirlwind of excitement and new experiences! The day kicked off with camper arrivals between 3:00-4:30 pm. Our amazing staff guided families through check-in, where we handled paperwork and medications. After heartfelt from-the-car goodbyes, counselors helped campers settle into their cabins. Then, everyone gathered around the top field for introductions and name games. It was a great way for campers to start breaking the ice!
Evening Activities and Campfire Magic
Dinner was a lively affair where campers learned about dining hall procedures and enjoyed the first meal from Miss Natasha’s kitchen–pasta, garlic bread, and salad! Afterward we dove into evening activities that introduced Camp Kupugani’s core values, and of course, involved a fun opening game of Ship Island. The highlight of the night was our welcoming campfire. Campers experienced cherished traditions like the Key Log Ceremony and our goodnight song. Back in the cabins, they created cabin contracts and flags, setting the tone for their time at camp.
Wrapping Up an Exciting First Day
As the day wound down, campers settled into their new home-away-from-home. They learned about cabin life, including cabin Expression Jars. Lights out marked the end of an action-packed first day. We’re thrilled about the connections and memories your child has already started to make. Can you imagine the growth and adventures that await them in the days to come?
