4 Ways to Enhance Your Life During a Pandemic
For sure, life during a pandemic is rough for so many (and for so long). Nonetheless, even when times are tough…or maybe because times are tough, there are still important lessons to be learned that can enhance your life. At our Midwest summer camp, we have endured not summer camp, communicating with families and kiddos who have been missing so much–especially, and including the important jobs of being a kid–i.e. socializing, bonding, playing, singing, exercising, being in nature, etc. Even while we miss those, we can focus on positive growth. The good folks at Barking Up the Wrong Tree have a recent post regarding ways to maintain and grow that. Check out the full article at this link, or the excerpt below.
Lessons
- Learn a lesson about gratitude: Forget your Dodge Dart. Be happy that it is wrapped around a telephone pole and you are not.
- Learn a lesson about savoring: Wanting more good stuff all the time is a trap. Take a moment to deliberately appreciate what you have in the moment.
- Learn a lesson about health: Be a conductor, not a driver.
- Learn a lesson about relationships: Who did you miss? Schedule something with them right now before you get distracted and your brainpower washes everything you just learned out of your head.
