Fantastic Friday – August 2, 2019

With our senior campers running camp, we started the day with our community gathering, then we went inside for a delicious breakfast of waffles, bacon, and eggs. Then we did our cabin chores–a record was set for camp cleanup with near perfect scores. Then we dismissed into our team. During team time, we discussed conflict resolution and did skits to portray different methods of conflict resolution. After team time, we did Free to Learn down in Walnut Grove then we came back up for lunch. We had hamburgers, then we went back to the cabins for a siesta. After that we had an afternoon of camptivities. For camptivity one we had horseback riding and pool. Then we had La Tienda and then went down to the lake for some lake play. Afterwards, we headed back up to the cabins to clean up for dinner. For dinner we had Miss Natasha’s delicious barbeque chicken, mashed sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar, and tasty watermelon. Of course, the campers recognized the delicious meal with yet another rendition of “Bang Bang Pedal”, appreciating the efforts of the kitchen staff. Then we had Four Corners for an evening activity, followed by gaga and 9-square. Then we went back to the cabins to settle down for bed. Another good day!

Kupugani touches on all the core values and enrichment that we hope to instill in our [child]. My husband and I absolutely love Camp Kupugani. Our [child] gained immensely from camp.

Everyone…was just so, so personable, kind, and the kind of person I want
my [child] looking up to and spending time with.

I have never come in contact with such a wonderful group of people at a camp before. Everyone did an outstanding job, the camp was so organized, it was unbelievable.

She absolutely loves the camp, the staff, and all the friends she makes there. I consider Kupugani to be a big influence in helping her grow and expand her mind each summer.
