Today was Backwards Day here at ampC inagupuK! The campers showed up to Morning Circle (er…correction, for the Goodnight Song) with their shirts and hats on backwards. They said good evening in the morning and good morning in the evening. They had dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. They even tried talking backwards! (some more successfully than others…). In our teams, we discussed what it means to be aware of our biases as well as the barriers we could break if we were able to acknowledge them, and keep them in. After our camptivities and a snack break at La Tienda, we headed to the dining hall for pancakes and cereal. After dinner we went to the Rec Hall to watch our very talented campers show off their skills at our famous Untalent Show. Our combination of singers, actors, and comedians put on quite a show. After the Untalent show–full of magical performances and support from the whole camp community–we had an evening dance and then headed to bed to get ready for the next day. What an eventful day!
