A Super Soccer Saturday with the Girls

On this Super Saturday, the counselors and campers played to a hard-earned tie with the campers in a close match in the staff vs. campers soccer game. The counselors took a quick two-goal lead, but the campers battled back to cut it to a one-goal deficit before the intermission. In the latter part of the game, the campers made a frenzied comeback to tie the game in regulation right before the final whistle. A dramatic shootout didn’t produce a winner–with the campers again tying it up on the last shot of the shootout. There was plenty of spirited and sportswomanlike action, with tremendous effort and athleticism from both sides. In addition to the thrilling game, the Kupugani girls camp had a very pleasant day, ending with a campfire, a night hike, a movie, and a night under the stars. Looking forward to another great day tomorrow!
