5 Tips for Raising Creative Kids
Located about 90 minutes from Chicago, IL and Madison, WI, our Camp Kupugani sleepaway camp program is driven by our campers being open-minded. We empower our campers to be creative by giving them opportunities to shine during various camp activities during our girls-only, boys-only, and blended (intentionally co-ed) sessions. - Give them support and permission.
- Children need to know it is okay to be creative.
- Don’t limit your children by forcing your views on them.
- Give them a vision of what their lives could become.
- Kids need to see what is possible.
- Help them find “great” men and women.
- Give them opportunities to be creative.
- Be looking out for how your kids can use their creativity.
- Don’t be afraid to reach beyond your direct scope.
- Give them an example to follow.
- Walk the walk (actions speak louder than words).
- Find a way you can show them your creative side.
- Give them tools and resources.
- Invest in toys or supplies that foster creativity (i.e. legos, art supplies).
- Be intentional in supporting your children and their creativity.
