Another Day of Fun, Learning, and Adventure at Girls Camp
Earlier today, your children experienced a day packed with excitement and growth at summer camp. They started their morning with a wake-up call and a cabin clean-up, setting the tone for a day of responsibility and teamwork. After tidying up, they gathered as a community to kick off the day. The Quote of the Day was, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” This quote set the stage for a day focused on preparation and effort.
Morning Activities
Following the community gathering, the campers enjoyed a hearty breakfast. They then split into teams for some engaging activities. The Yurt Circle, Miss Money Bags, and Human Knot games were a big hit, fostering cooperation and problem-solving skills. Afterward, the campers participated in their morning “camptivities.” Abantu group members tried their hand at archery, Anthropoi campers embraced nature and meditation, and Hitobito kids tackled a challenge hike. Each activity was designed to build confidence and resilience.
Afternoon Fun
Post-lunch, everyone took a well-deserved siesta, recharging for the afternoon. The first camptivity session included kickball, hairstyling, and soccer. The kids loved the variety and the chance to try new things. The second session offered even more choices: a Social Justice Track, mud volleyball, dam jumping, and arts and crafts. These activities allowed campers to explore their interests and express their creativity.
Evening Wrap-Up
Dinner was a lively affair, filled with chatter about the day’s adventures. The evening activities were split by age groups. Older campers engaged in Forced Choices, while younger ones played some fun active games. Excitement buzzed in the air as tomorrow’s theme, Backwards Day, was announced. The day concluded with a reflective cabin activity discussing personal challenges. In conclusion, today was a day full of learning, fun, and personal growth for your children. They embraced new experiences and built lasting memories. What will tomorrow’s Backwards Day bring?
