Another Good Day in Girls Camp Life at Camp Kupugani
Morning Adventures and Team Building
After waking up and tidying their cabins, the campers gathered for our morning circle. The Quote of the Day set the tone: “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much” – Helen Keller. This powerful message resonated throughout the day’s activities. Breakfast was a delicious treat of cinnamon rolls, fueling the kids for their morning adventures. Subsequently, the campers dove into team activities, including challenging lifts, and other team-building initiatives. These activities not only tested their physical abilities but also strengthened their bonds.
Afternoon Olympics and Evening Fun
Following a hearty lunch of hamburgers and a restful siesta, the afternoon was dominated by the Kupugani Olympics. The campers’ friendly, competitive spirits soared as the blue and red teams (“Go Purple!”) participated in various events such as gaga, slip N’ slide, and mud tug of war. Afterward, a special Returner Ceremony celebrated our 3+ year returners (who then had a special pizza and fun field trip). At camp, the day’s culinary journey concluded with a taco dinner, a camp favorite. The evening brought more excitement with Rainbow Tag and a lively Sing Off. As the campers returned to their cabins, they were buzzing with anticipation for the next day’s theme: Dress Like a Staff Member Day. Before lights out, they worked on closing cards, reflecting on their camp experiences.
A Day of Growth and Friendship
The day was filled with activities that fostered teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. From the morning’s team-building exercises to the evening’s fun-filled games, every moment allowed the campers to learn and bond. The varied schedule kept the children engaged and excited throughout the day. As parents, wouldn’t you love to hear all about these adventures from your campers when they return home?
