Fabulous Friday at Blended One!
We started off the day by waking up in the cabins after a good night’s sleep. Our early bird campers woke up at 6 am again, this time for a few rounds of 9 square on Top Field. Everyone was up by 7 to shower, brush their teeth, and get dressed for the day before heading to morning circle and breakfast. After breakfast, we broke into our cabin groups to take care of our chores. Then we met with our teams and did some reflective activities about our values, backgrounds, and pastimes. After we finished, it was Free to Learn–time allotted to campers so that they have a chance to enjoy camp without highly structured activities. After that, Kevin and the kiddos did some singing in the (light) rain, before we went to the Dining Hall for lunch and then returned to our cabins for siesta. After our short rest, the afternoon camptivities began! The activities included archery, crate-stacking, slack-lining, hiking, swimming, and arts and crafts. The campers took a break for La Tienda, then resumed their campivities with their cabins. After camptivities ended, we came down to the Dining Hall porch to sing songs while waiting for dinner. For our evening activities, the campers had a sing-off and then got to play Rainbow Tag on Top Field. It was a big hit! After that, we returned to our cabins to get ready for bed and get some rest for tomorrow. It was another great day here at Camp Kupugani!
