A full day of “normal” at girls camp
Today was the real beginning of a “normal” schedule, albeit mostly in our cohorts. The day started with the campers waking up at 7:00 AM to shower and brush teeth before morning circle and breakfast. Breakfast today consisted of eggs, plus muffins all the way from England! After breakfast, camp-wide chores ensued, then team groups for about an hour to work on learning the basics of successful team development. After teams, we headed into an AM camptivity in cabin groups: climbing, nature walk, challenge hike, and 9 square in the […]
A good first full day at girls session
We enjoyed our first full day of girls camp, starting with our morning circle where we went over our quote of the day and sang “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With Me.” After the morning circle, the campers enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes and sausage with fruit. After the campers enjoyed their meal, they broke off into their cabins to do camp chores like cleaning the bathrooms and common areas. When done with the chores, they got familiar with their team groups by doing icebreaker activities. Then we had a delicious lunch […]
Welcome to our Kupugani girls!
Today was the first day of our Girls Session. Our drive-through check-in was a drive-thru and went very smoothly. Campers moved into their cabins, met their cabinmates and counselors, and set up their bunks. Afterward, they went to the top field as a whole camp, played name games, got introduced to camp, and learned the camp’s core values and rules. Dinner went great; the campers listened well and enjoyed it. We had spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. After dinner, evening activities were completed, with campers learning about the purpose of […]

On this Magnificent Monday, it’s our first day liberalizing our COVID-19 bubble (given our infection-free state after our second round of in-camp PCR tests). Super Saturday at Blended Two
On this Super Saturday, the counselors defeated the campers in a close match in the staff vs. campers soccer game. The campers took an immediate lead, but couldn’t hold onto it as the counselors evened it up before halftime. In the second half, despite a frenzied comeback to tie the game at 2-2, the campers eventually succumbed to the counselor’s relentless pace and fell behind 4-3 with not much time left. Even given a spirited last-minute comeback spree, the campers couldn’t quite find the back of the net to equalize […]

In teams today, we worked on our final conflict resolution module of the session by doing I-Statements and Clean Ups. Free to Learn […]
